PICKUP & DROP OFF LOCATIONS
The Main pickup/drop-off location will be at E 15th St. and Hood St.
The northern drop-off location for individuals with a disability or limited mobility (from a shuttle, paratransit only) will be in front of the Dock Building, 535 Dock St. The drop-off zone is within the area that will be limiting vehicular access. The designated and signed Bus Zone in front of the Museum of Glass will be accessible for pickup and drop-off for shuttles, paratransit, and rideshare.
This area of Dock St. will not be restricted for access but may only be accessed via E D St. This will facilitate the shuttle buses to perform the loop North on Dock St. and South of Pacific Avenue
WALK, BIKE OR RIDE!
One of the best ways to get to the event is to park downtown and walk on the bridge at 11th street, take the elevator down to the street level and it puts you within three blocks of the event.
Pierce Transit specialized transportation is available for registered SHUTTLE customers, during normal SHUTTLE service hours. Call 253.581.8000, option 1, then option 2, one to five days in advance to schedule your trip.
Pierce Transit Fares & Info Local fares apply. $2 each boarding for adults, $1 youth (ages 6-18), and $1 discounted fare with Regional Reduced Fare Permit. Children ages 5 and younger ride free with a fare-paying passenger. All Day Passes can be purchased on the bus with exact cash. ORCA cards may be used. Valid passes and One Ride Tickets will also be honored for fare payment.
Bus Service Routes
Many Pierce Transit routes travel to Downtown Tacoma for easy access to the Festival including 1, 2, 3, 11, 15, 16, 28, 41, 42, 45, 48, 57,500, and 501. Most of these routes serve stops at Pacific Ave & S 14th St, and at Pacific Ave & S 19th St. From these stops it’s an easy walk.
- From the stop at Pacific Ave & S 14th simply walk south to S 15th St then travel east (toward the water) to Dock St.
- From the stop at Pacific Ave & S 19th, just cross the Bridge of Glass down to Dock St.
Route 13 travels the closest to the Festival with stops along Dock St (see map).
- S 15th St -our northernmost bus stop on Dock St.
- S 19th St -next to the Museum of Glass
- S 21st St -at the 21st Street Park
On Thursday and Friday, Route 13 follows its regular schedule; visit
piercetransit.org for times. Southbound trips will travel along Pacific Ave instead of Dock St. Note: commuters fill the parking stalls at Tacoma Dome Station very early on weekdays.
Weekend Service On Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18, Pierce Transit Route 13 will operate a limited service between the Tacoma Dome Station (Zone E) and Pacific Ave & S 11th St. The first bus leaves Tacoma Dome Station starting at 8:30 am and the last return trip is scheduled at 5:30 pm both days. A trip is scheduled to leave approximately every 20 minutes. Route 13 travels along Dock St between S 23rd and S 15th St. For your return trip to TDS, catch Route 13 on Pacific Ave at:

- S 14th St
- S 19th St
Plus parking is FREE at the Tacoma Dome Station and there should be plenty of space available on Saturday and Sunday.

Walk or Bike
The Foss Waterway is an 8-minute walk from Commerce St Transit Center; The Thea Foss Waterway Public Esplanade is a 5-minute walk from the Tacoma Link’s Union Station; and 21st St Park is just an 8-minute walk from the Tacoma Dome Station.
PARKING & SHUTTLE SERVICE
There will be parking available and shuttle service offered from the University of Washington Tacoma (19th Street and Jefferson Avenue near the Grand Staircase) to Festival of Sail. It will drop off passengers at the 15th Ave and Hood Street drop-off location (Near Museum of glass) and then 535 Dock Street drop-off zone.
Additional shuttles will make loops from the festival entrance near Museum of Glass (15th & Hood Street) to 535 Dock Street (Dock Building). Shuttles will run about every 15 minutes.
Thursday, June 15
U of W will leave at 10:30 AM and pickup/drop-off about every 30 minutes. The last shuttle to U of W, Tacoma on Thursday will depart the Dock Street Location at 7:15 PM.
Event shuttles will run between 11 AM and 7:30 PM.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday (June 16,17, and 18th)
U of W Shuttle will leave at 8:30 AM and pickup/drop-off about every 30 minutes. The last shuttle to U of W, Tacoma will depart the Dock Street Location at 5:15 PM.
Event shuttles will run between 9 AM and 5:30 PM.
Below displays the parking map, which highlights other public parking options around or near Foss Waterway. There is no parking on Dock Street during the event.
We highly recommend using the LINK (Union Station, Convention Center Station, and Commerce Street Station connect to pedestrian access points) Pierce Transit (Route 13), The Sounder from Seattle to Tacoma (Thursday & Friday ONLY), or other transportation to and from the event.
